What the counts mean
Keep the rule beside the result.
Exact duplicates and repeated IDs answer different questions. Neither gives permission to delete records automatically.

Every decoded field must match, in the same order. Spaces and letter case are preserved; CSV quotes are decoded. The count shows extra copies beyond the first. Any original-row or timestamp column is included, so it can make otherwise similar business records different.
How are repeated or blank IDs counted?
Only records with the same number of fields as the header are checked. Nonblank IDs are compared exactly, keeping spaces and letter case. A blank or whitespace-only ID is counted separately and excluded from repeat counts. A repeated ID can be a legitimate line, shipment or event.
Which CSV formats can I use?
Use comma-separated UTF-8 text with headers. Quoted commas, escaped double quotes, quoted line breaks, UTF-8 BOM and common line endings are supported. Blank physical records outside quoted fields are ignored. Semicolon- and tab-separated files are not automatically converted. If you expected several columns but see only one, check the delimiter before using the result.
What happens if the CSV has a parse error?
The tool stops and describes the syntax issue without displaying field values. No partial result is produced. Uneven field counts are reported as findings once the CSV syntax can be read. Files over 2 MB, 5,000 data records or 500 fields per record must be reduced before checking.
What stays in my browser?
The selected file contents, header choices and findings are used in this open page. They are not uploaded or saved to browser storage. Reset removes them from the tool’s active state. The summary download contains counts and definitions only. Loading this website still requests page assets and creates normal hosting logs.
