What does the name mean?
DC Health Check is a Tennessee limited liability company (DC Health Check LLC) that audits warehouse and distribution center operations remotely from a client's own WMS and payroll exports; the "DC" is distribution center, the company has no connection to the District of Columbia or to any health-care program, and the "health check" is a reading of a building's labor cost, productivity, shipping performance and flow. If you arrived here looking for a pediatric or Medicaid program, this is not it.
The work is what an experienced operator would do with two clean weeks and the building's own data: define the measures, reconcile the records, calculate from summed totals, show every formula, rank the actions, and say plainly what the data cannot support. It is sold as a free one-page Flow Snapshot, a fixed-fee warehouse operations audit, and a monthly Ops Intelligence Briefing, to independent 3PLs, distributors and brands that run their own fulfillment, anywhere in the United States.
Who runs it?
Michael founded DC Health Check in 2026 and is the reviewer on every engagement. He spent eight years in distribution operations before that, from frontline supervisor on a fulfillment floor to running a multi-hundred-associate distribution building, with the weekly labor, shipping and inventory numbers that come with it. He reads the exports, builds the calculations, writes the report and answers the questions. There is no team behind the brand and no work is subcontracted.
The site publishes the business name and the founder's first name. Engagement letters, invoices and the data-handling agreement carry the full legal identity of DC Health Check LLC, as they must.
How is the work done?
- From your exports, not from a tour. Shipment and labor exports first; receipts, inventory, order lines and invoices when the question needs them. The remote versus on-site page is honest about what that does and does not see.
- On agreed definitions. Every measure is defined before it is calculated, and the definition sheet ships with the report. The KPI glossary lists the definitions used.
- With every calculation shown. Period ratios from summed totals, formulas beside the results, a workbook you can re-run on next month's data.
- With the gaps visible. A measure the data cannot support is reported as not measured. Nothing is estimated from an industry table to fill a blank.
- With scope and dates before money. Requests are not bookings. The checklist of exports, the diagnostic areas the data supports and the delivery date are accepted before any invoice.

How is your data handled?
Exports are redacted before transfer (no employee names, customer details, payment information or credentials), the transfer method is agreed first, the files are used only for the accepted scope, and the data-handling summary states retention and deletion. Contact and scope details submitted through the site are kept for up to 60 days to respond to the request and are not used for marketing.
